The discussion revolves around everything Nethack. It mainly consist of players seeking consultation or guidance or just describing what they're experiencing in the game. There is vast amount of experience and knowledge around and few questions go unanswered. Server admins are also frequently present and IRC is a good place to find help with nethack.fi server related problems and questions.

You're welcome to /join - also just for fun and for good company - but please keep in mind a few simple rules:

• The topic is NetHack.
• Use English only.
• Funny links are appreciated only if they are about NetHack.
• No flooding (like copy-pasting your whole inventory). The server has dumps and eavesdropping, please link to them instead.
• Be warned - you might get spoiled.
• No mIRC colours, no bots, no /away nicks, no auto-aways. We are interested in you, not your script.
• All standard IRC etiquette applies.

Izchak

Izchak is the channel bot, whose main function is to announce every game that ends on the server. There are no private YASD's on nethack.fi, only public humiliation - and praise :)

He also knows a few other tricks:

• !date - current date and time
• !pom - phase of moon
• !lastgame [nick] - link to the last game dump by user [nick]. Without parameter [nick] prints out link to the dump of the latest game ended on the server.
• !rc [nick] - .nethackrc settings for user [nick]
• !rndchar - random character class, race, gender and alignment

Please /msg the bot rather than trying the commands out on the channel. Thank you!
